God's Own Junkyard is a light exhibition. A hidden place in Walthamstow, east London.
The space is an amazing old warehouse decorated with neon lights, luminous signboards and any sort of bizarre memorabilia.
It might look like light cemetery with its old style atmosphere, but the glow that emanates from the neon signs make your eyes sparkle.
This museum of light appears as a rainbow split into thousands of bulbs where all colours are present, aside from black and white.
Leonardo Da Vince once said: 'Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication'. And many regard black and white as the purest form of photography.
By adapting these images to black and white, every light now has the same weighting, and they play with shadows in a different way to how the original colours photos do. Yet it releases the same emotions: happiness and excitement with a touch of melancholy that characterise this colourful and unique junkyard.
